The Office for Students (OfS) is the independent regulator for Higher Education in the UK, its role is to work with higher education providers to make sure that students succeed in higher education.
As part of this it considers and approves an Access and Participation Plan that sets out how the University will improve equality of opportunity for underrepresented groups to access, succeed in and progress from higher education.
In December 2024, the Office for Students approved the 2025-2029 Access and Participation Plan. The 2020-25 plan will continue to apply to home undergraduate students who began their degree before 2025/26. The 2025-29 plan will apply to home undergraduate students who begin their degree from 2025/26 onwards.
Tuition fees for 2025/26 are subject to government regulations on fees increases. Fees for undergraduate home students are regulated by the Government. Please refer to our Undergraduate Fees and Finance page for the most up-to-date tuition fee information.
As part of the annual process of monitoring Access and Participation Plans, the University provides the Office for Students (OfS) with information about its progress toward meeting targets, objectives and written commitments. In September 2021, the OfS completed a review of the monitoring return for the 2019-20 plan and issued the University with its first Impact Report.
