Ben Green is a Senior Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course. His teaching experience spans twenty years at a range of educational institutions from Bradford School of Art & Design to Leyton Sixth Form College, together with initiatives with the University of the Arts London, National Arts Learning Network, Architecture Centre Network and the Institute of International Visual Arts, London.

After graduating from Central St Martins, Ben trained as a teacher, gaining his PGCE in 2000. In 2010, he completed his MA in Aesthetics and Art Theory at the Centre for European and Modern Philosophy, Kingston University, writing his dissertation on the seminal work of Henry Flynt.

Alongside his teaching practice, Ben’s research focuses on issues within transdisciplinary practice. His current research aims to test the feasibility of aligning Vilém Flusser’s thoughts on media and history within a contemporary account of transdisciplinarity. This research is activated primarily through practices located within experimental music and intermedia projects from the 1960s to the present. Between 2003-2005, Ben curated a series of new commissions for radio on his “One hour as…” programme on Resonance FM, London. He has exhibited at the Architectural Association, London (2004) and Futura Gallery, Prague (2003).

He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has worked as an External Moderator for UAL Awarding Body.
