Tom is a Senior Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Filmmaking course and an award-winning videographer / camera operator who specialises in short form content which has been shown on online platforms, in art galleries and film festivals. Tom has been producing content for over ten years; working with a variety of clients including Google, Channel 4, Coventry City of Culture, The FA and Insomnia Gaming Festival to name a few. Other creative personal film projects have been screened in over one hundred cities across the world, have had content featured in an Emmy Award winning TV series and by the BBC and have been shown in art galleries, including Tate Modern and the London Institute of Contemporary Arts.
The content produced for various clients has reached over half a million viewers worldwide through social media platforms and online platforms / live streams. This ranges from dramas, documentaries, online learning resources, music videos, political films, interactive art exhibitions and podcasts. Tom's specific research area of interest is in the use of colour and space while exploring disability art and sustainability within filmmaking and has helped the Filmmaking course become a part of the Albert BAFTA scheme.
