Zöe Platt is the Graphic Communication Pathway Leader on the Extended Diploma in Creative Practice, joining the university back in 2016. Her background is in graphic design and typography, graduating from Anglia Ruskin University in 2009.
Over time, her practice has become more process-driven and interested in the relationship between the hand-made, digital, and now the inclusion of AI. She takes a hands-on and analogue approach to image-making and is a big believer in learning by doing and making mistakes as a form of enquiry, an ethos which underpins her teaching. Outside of her creative teaching practice, Zoe is interested in language and linguistics and has experience of teaching English as a foreign language, working in China back in 2014 and across summer schools in the UK.
