Illustration graduate delivers Lazy Oaf tutorial

BA (Hons) Illustration

BA (Hons) Illustration graduate, Izzy Dugen of Fawnillo, was approached by Lazy Oaf to make step-by-step video tutorials for their social media and website on how to create beaded bag charms.

Lazy Oaf is a design-led lifestyle brand based in London which is inspired by a love of youth subcultures, streetwear, and nostalgia. Lazy Oaf not only makes clothes, but also support and reflect their culture, and uses their platform to promote the stuff they care about.

Lazy Oaf’s Brand Assistant contacted Izzy via Instagram to help promote her Fawnillo brand on their platform whilst simultaneously creating social content for the relaunch of their ‘Oaf Hacks’ series in the form of TikTok videos and Instagram reels.

"It felt very affirming to be noticed by a brand I have always really admired. I relate with Lazy Oaf as a brand as they incorporate story telling into their brand in the same way that I like to with Fawnillo; whimsically."

Since graduating, Izzy has been building her Fawnillo brand and creating charms and jewellery in her studio space funded by the Careers, Enterprise and Employability team’s Funded Studio Space scheme.

"My Funded Studio Space had beautiful views, was nice and warm, and was such a pleasant place to work in. It really helped me develop my brand and portfolio."
