Textile Design student showcased at TEX+ 2024

BA (Hons) Textile Design

Graduating BA (Hons) Textile Design student Jenny Hind has been selected for the TEX+ 2024 Finalists’ Showcase, held in London this July.

TEX+ aims to bridge the gap between higher education and the textile industry, engaging young people through training, mentorship and opportunities to showcase their work.

Nearly 200 students from across the UK were nominated for the showcase, with just 52 chosen for interview. From those interviewed, Jenny was one of just 25 graduating students selected for the showcase.

Jenny’s graduate collection 'Joie de Vivre' explores the world of Beatrice de Rothschild and the grand salons of her pink palace of paradise in a collection of wallpaper and home furnishing prints for high-end interiors.

Currently showcasing her work at New Designers 2024, Jenny will take part in the TEX+ Finalists’ Showcase at Chelsea College of Art & Design from 11-12 July. An award ceremony will take place on 10 July 2024.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for Jenny to showcase her incredible work to an industry audience. To be one of just 25 graduates selected for Tex+ is a huge achievement, and we are all so proud. Congratulations Jenny, we can’t wait to see what you do next!”

Gareth Wadkin, BA (Hons) Textile Design Course Leader
